MUNDARI SAMAJ
“Mundarisamaj.org.” is a
medium of the Mundari language speaking people of Odisha to bring them
together, create awareness and for holistic development of the Mundari
language, script and culture in the state of Odisha, India and abroad.

(A) Sj.
Shreedhar Singh, M.A., B Ed, O.E.S., Retd. D. I. of Schools.
Born on - 12.2.1949. At- Kaliapada,
Sirathali, Puruna Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha, Father -Shyamray Singh, Mother
- Gurubari Singh of “Birgam” thok (village) and belongs to the
Bhumij community of Sonahatu Progona, Jharkhand.
He has written as many as 25 books
in Odia, English and in Mundari language on tribal lives and cultures of Orissa
and abroad.
He has been felicitated with many
titles by various literary societies as “Bhanj Pradeep”, “Kabi Kusum”,
“Sulekha Sanman”, “Maa Sanman”, “Shree Bhagaban” and “Mundari Marshal” and
also has received “ Janajati Pratibha Sanman“ from the Governor of
Odisha in the year 2013.
He is the acting president of the
“Mundari Samaj Sanwar Jamda,” Ex-Secy. General of the “Bharat Munda Samaj” and
also acting Executive Member of many social organizations.
(B) Sj. Gourahari Singh, B.A.
Born on - 28.4.1961. At - Kaliapada,
Sirathali , Puruna Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha, Father –Pathua Singh, Mother –
Saibani Singh of “Jojo“ thok (village) and belongs to the Bhumij community of
Tamad Progona, Jharkhand.
In the field of Mundari literature,
his works are “Bani Upurum”, “Binti“, “Kahani Dali “, “Dho’l Chi Khol”, “
Akal Jee” and compiled Souvenir (Jowar Sakam) of “Sanwar Jamda“ etc.
He is an acting member of the
“Mundari Samaj Sanwar Jamda”, the President of the “Bharat Munda Samaj, Cuttack
Unit“ and “Mundari Samaj Susar Samiti, Cuttack“ and member of other social
organizations.
(C) Sj. Nandalal Singh, I. Sc.
Born on - 11.7.1956. At -
Ghusuria, Paunsia, Badasahi, Mayurbhanj, Odisha, Father – Tepae Singh, Mother –
Bari Singh of “Sinduri“ thok (village) & belongs to the Bhumij community of
the Andki Progona, Jharkhand.
In the field of drama, he is a
renowned comedian and has written some short stories like “Akal Jee”
“Ilee“and “O’Jaega Ghao” in Mundari language.
He is an acting Vice-President of
the “Mundari Samaj Sanwar Jamda“, the Adviser of the “Birsa Munda Smruti
Committee“, Poda Astia, the Ex - Vice–President of the “Mundari Samaj Susar
Samiti, Cuttack” and also an acting member of the “Bharat Munda Samaj”.
(D) Sri Raj Srinibash Singh, M.A., M.Phil.( in Geography)
Born on - 24.8.1989. At - Kaliapada,
Sirathali, Puruna Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha. Father - Gourahari Singh,
Mother – Bidyut Manjari Singh of “Jojo“ thok (village) and belongs to the
Bhumij community of Tamad Progona , Jharkhand.
He is a person with vision for
encouragement of the tribal communities in the field of socio–economic,
linguistic, literary and cultural development.
(E) Sj. Baidyanath Singh,
Born on – (), At- Salbani, Rangamatia, Shyamakhunta, Mayurbhanj, Odisha. Father - Jitban Singh, Mother - Sambari Singh of “Amjola” thok (village).
A dedicated personnel of the Mundari
Samaj, who has been honored by the “Bharat Munda Samaj“, "Academy of Mundari Language and Culture", "Guru Gomke PT. Raghunath Murmu Memorial Committee" for developing the
software of Mundari script “Mundari Bani“.
